HOW CAN I HELP?

Through anthropologically informed ethnographic processes, I develop strategic insights that inform design drivers to generate powerful innovation for my clients.

Using these insights, I develop and synthesise high-quality deep-dive research that becomes the raw material for innovative design drivers, which inform an implementation plan.

THE REALITY

In our rapidly-changing world, innovation decisions are often made without the necessary depth of understanding about the multiple scales of complexity at play.

Assumptions are made by businesses and agencies without thorough knowledge of the contemporary environment, or the right values approach.

THE IMPLICATIONS

To be truly effective and sustainably significant, business innovation needs to be based on sophisticated social science research.

Why? Because this creates the strategic insights that make sense of the complexities that arise through the relationship between sociocultural realities, political processes, and the economy.

THE SOLUTION

Social anthropologists do the gold-standard version of social science research.

As a social anthropologist working in the commercial environment, I bring the unique capacities and the learned rigor from academia to deep dive, faster turn-around social science research in the ‘real world’.

The Process

step 1. RESEARCH

I develop ethnographic research processes that respond to a client’s brief to create insights around how people see the world in ways that are specific and innovatively relevant to my clients—and to creating processes of economy that are human-centric.

step 2. SYNTHESISE

Then I synthesise the data, critically analysing the information, and uncover key insights to fully understand the set of issues that are significant to the client.

step 3. DESIGN

I partner with design experts to transform the data into design drivers which can operationally be used to generate and power sustainable and resonant innovation for business.

Step 4. PLAN

Using the design drivers, we formulate a strategic plan to implement the key insights—ensuring that the innovations will be truly effective and sustainably significant.
